Tiger Sculpture in DaLian, China

This is taken in Tiger Square, located in LaoHuTan(老虎滩) Scenic Park in DaLian,China (大连,中国). Photo was taken 2016 when the creator went to China with his classmates for a cultural exchange trip. Using the sun as his's light source, stand at an angle where the sun is at your 6 o'clock roughy to take advantage. The sculptures were originally white but with help from the sun, it is now coloured beautifully.

Peanuts

Sinn Long

Peanuts from Kilang Kacang Sinn Long, Raub, Pahang, Malaysia! Field of Depth technique is being used here! Just focus on the object you want to focus on by touching your smartphone and the camera will auto focus to the object and make the rest blury at the back. This technique is fairly easy to use and can be mastered quickly.

Local Takes

Squriel
Squirrel

Photo taken at Chinese Garden where the photographer spotted a squriel on a tree. It doesn't look like it's taken from Singapore isn't it? The HDR fuction causes the tree look like it's a painting especially the brunches.

Red Panda
Red Panda From River Safari

Isn't the Red Panda cute? Taken from River Safari. No special techniques applied, just patience, a lot of patience needed for it to wake up and be active. Sadly no Kai Kai and Jia Jia images from River Safari trip as they were in mating season and were not allowed to come out hence here's a Red Panda for you!

Fireworks
FireWorks

Ok this photo does NOT have HDR function on, just purely from Camera Lens. Photo was taken during River HongBao 2019. Trick here is timing, one needs to make sure the colour of the fireworks complement with the "lightshow" of Art Science Museum Singapore as the "lightshow" is being played on repeat automatically hence sometimes the colours of fireworks and the "lightshow" might clash and make the image not as beautiful.

Sunset
Sunset at East Coast Park

Sunset at East Coast Park! The idea here is to capture the gradient of the sunset with the skyline. Special technique used is again time. During sunset Here's a fun activity for you, can you locate a Bat-like shape cloud in the image? And here the creator thought that Batman was so busy that he fights crime in day now since the Bat Signal light up at what, 6.30pm??🤔

Singapore Flyer
Singapore Flyer

A shot of Singapore Flyer from Gardens By The Bay so that part of the city is reflected on the water image. This technique of reflection is quite commonly used for scenery near river/lakes and is not hard to master at all.

Chinese Garden
Chinese Garden

Landscape view of Chinese Garden with the iconic Padagon Tower. This shot effect was achieve with the help of HDR (eg the skyline and the contrast of the tower and the surrounding). This allows the Padagon Tower to stand out among the greenery in the garden while the skyline is a great addition to the scenery. A bit of skyline, greenery and shadows could improve your picture greatly.

Japanese Garden
Japanese Garden

Remember what he said with the Singapore Flyer? (the water reflection?) This technique is being used here again This image also take advantage of the HDR effect(similar to the one of Chinese Garden). A sense of calmness is what the photographer wanted to acheive here where it is just a beautiful scenery where one could admire, without needing to think about the daily hustle and bustle life.

Image was taken during morning. Technique used here is gradient of the skyline. The photographer wants to capture the difference between the view and the skyline, enhancing the overall image quality.
